Lucky No. 13!

Woohoo! My 13th post! Seems rather sad, considering I started posting in September of last year... Oh well, it's all progress, right?! If I would've been more with it, I should've posted this last Friday to make it officially official... and then I should've gone and gotten a lotto ticket... Shoulda, coulda, woulda... =)

Lotsa things going on in these parts - wish they were producing quicker results, but hey, good things take time... At least that's what I'm telling myself. Between work, kids, and cleaning {always last on my priority list}, my creative endeavors have been few and far between. I now have even more projects waiting to be finished.

And... Thanks to my awesome momma, I've got some new {to me} tools for starting even more UFO's {unfinished objects}!!

She found the above book at a local thrift store for only $10!! It is PACKED with patterns, tips, templates, and all sorts of other goodies! Love it!!

I did manage to get some sewing done on Saturday, but not as much as I would've liked... While I was sewing, Junie hauled herself and her legos onto the kitchen table and chatted with me. She's starting to talk so much, and is perfectly capable of carrying on a lengthy conversation {albeit slightly one-sided}. It was so much fun having my gal to chat with while I sewed! =) I know it won't be long before she'll want to join in {can't wait!!}...

I put together a couple of 9 patch blocks, and then mutilated turned them into half-square triangles using Jeni's technique... The process is super-duper easy, and I am definitely going to use it again. However, I have to do some SERIOUS work on cutting and sewing straight. My points didn't line up very well, and I truly believe June could've done a far better job...

Oh well. Working on a shirt for myself tonight using this tutorial from C&C. I'm hoping it'll turn out so I can show it off!!

Time to ship the kidlits off to bed!
