Is it really only Monday? Seems like we should be back at Friday again... Jack - the child primarily responsible for the ever-growing clumps of white hair on my head - has been getting himself into trouble at school. It's funny, because it seemed he used to behave very well at school and save his bad behavior for home, but something has changed because the opposite is starting to become the norm. However, he has sat in time out twice tonight since getting home. Poor kid. I'm sure he's got to be as frustrated as I am. I wish I could see the world through his eyes for a day and be able to understand his way of thinking/logic.

This week promises to be busy - Halloween costumes to be made, and the continuation of building a pile for the craft show next month! I am also hoping to build up enough of a stash to get an Etsy shop up and running again. I certainly have amassed more than enough stuff for one! I've been hoarding collecting a pile of vintage sheets/pillowcases that I want to cut up into fat quarters and charm packs. I'm also hoping that doing so will motivate me to make up some quilts with them!

In the meantime, I've cut out 16 hats from a pattern in Lotta Jansdotter's Simple Sewing for Baby: 24 Easy Projects for Newborns to Toddlers. I LOVE this book! So many cute things, and I love her fabric choices. She has another book out that I would love to get... Anyway, these hats are turning out super cute and a great way to use up fleece scraps and felted sweaters. I've got one receiving blanket cut out and several more to go. My poor dining room table has not been empty since last weekend. Thank goodness for a patient hubby who tolerates my crafting 'take-overs'.  ;)

On to Halloween.... Will, my oldest, wants to be 'Billy the Exterminator' from the series on A&E. His gma found him the perfect studded bracelet - complete with skull and crossbones - this weekend. I'm planning to hit up Goodwill and get the remainder of his outfit; a black shirt and cargo pants. And a MULLET!! *hehe* I plan to freezer stencil a skull and crossbones on  his shirt for the 'Vexcon' logo. Still trying to figure out what Jack and June will be. After last year's slightly fractured 'Little Red Riding Hood' theme, I'm almost at a loss. It's kind of fun to have them do a common theme... What next, 'The Three Little Pigs" or how about 'Three Blind Mice'? Somehow I doubt Will would tolerate that. It's fun to contemplate, anyway!

Halloween 2010

This picture cracks me up. I love how you can see Will's eye through the hole in his mask, June looks as though she is thoroughly disgusted, and Jack is going to town on that sucker like it's the best thing since sliced bread. What are those uneven dark splotches on his face, you ask? That is my last-minute solution to the fact that I forgot to plan ahead for his beard and had to resort to smearing mascara on a q-tip.

No pictures to share yet of the hat and blanket assembly line, but I'm hoping to amend that within the next couple of days. Hope you all have a wonderful week!! :)
